Home builders, manufacturers and suppliers from around the world came together in January for the annual NAHB International Builders Show in Orlando, Florida. More than 85,000 attendees gathered to showcase the latest trends, and Lennox was there to showcase the brand's innovative products in heating, cooling, smart home controls and indoor air quality.
The industry's finest were also recognized during the 2018 Best of IBS awards, and Lennox' SL280NV Ultra-Low NOx Furnace received the Best Green Building Product award. The furnace from Lennox is the first residential ultra-low NOx furnace homeowners can buy, producing 65% lower NOx emissions than the standard low NOx furnace, so consumers can feel good about their environment, inside and out.
In addition to coming home with the award, the Lennox team also walked away with a few key learnings and insights for the year to come:
- There continues to be further innovation in integrating more products with connected homes and smart home devices, including those from Amazon, Google and Apple. Lennox' iComfort S30 smart thermostat currently has mobile apps and syncs with Alexa-compliant smart home devices to make comfort easily accessible.
- 2018 and the years to come will be all about Education, Outreach and Communication. Builders and partner industries are facing recruitment challenges, and integrating training into schools and trade programs will be crucial as the next generation comes into the workforce.
- Consumers prefer purchasing products from manufacturers known for producing green products. These brands are seeing that while consumers care about saving money, they are willing to pay extra for products that make a positive impact on the environment. Lennox offers a wide-range of energy-efficient products for the home, some of which are even ENERGY STAR® qualified products.
Lennox provides homeowners with smart, innovative products, and attending events like the International Builders Show inspires the team to work even harder on bringing homeowners the best in the industry.
